Redesign: Overwolf
Original Logo
The original Overwolf logo is a good logo, however, it is upright and static. It’s visual weight is all at the top, making it appear top-heavy. It does convey power, but people expect to see more than that from a gaming related platform. Speed and motion are important things to be associated with a brand like Overwolf, and this can be achieved through rearranging the positive space and positioning it at an angle.
The text in the new logo is italicized to match the forward-leaning wolf, creating one cohesive combination logo. Below are the reimagined logo and all of its variations.
This redesign was a study on visual movement in logos, and how small changes in spacing and position can portray a completely different tone. Overwolf is a mod manager platform with a combination logo. I chose this logo to resesign because I saw room for improvement and an opportunity to explore what makes a logo match its brand!
